What Is Beauty by Bow
Beauty by Bow is Phuket’s newest Beauty Salon located in Cherngtalay, Thalang. Owned and operated by Arujira Pookan, better known as “Bow” the Salon was opened on May 5, 2014.
Bow invested approximately 3 million Baht and renovated a former bar into a brand new State of the Art Salon, purchasing the latest equipment and supplies from prominent sources in Bangkok and locally here in Phuket.
What Was Required
As a new salon in Phuket Beauty by Bow wanted their business website to inform visitors of the range of services they provide, as well as helping the salon get found in the local area.
With regards to style, it was important for the website design to reflect the modern feel of the salon itself but apart form that the design brief was fairly open.
What We Did
We always knew we wanted to offer a Responsive Website because of the massive number of people on Phuket (local and visiting) that use their mobile devices like phones and ipads to search.
During the planning phase we wanted to identify a structure that would allow a fairly small website (its only 9 pages) to compete online. As we were also going to be producing the content we identified which areas of business they were most interested to promote and focused on those sections. Ensuring that we had enough information to support the keywords we intended to target.
Most critical for any new business was getting on google maps via Google’s Places for Business which is the fastest way to get your business listed on Google maps.
Once we’d created the content needed we also used a mixture of in salon photography and stock photography to balance out the pages and create visual impact. For a beauty salon it was always critical that it be beautiful! We also focused on how customers would making a booking, so the contact numbers and location are prominent throughout the website.

- Recreated the logo from a photograph of the front reception desk.
- Sourced and edited a lot of photography elements
- Created Social Media branding packs which use similar graphics and images as the website.
- Made an easy to edit price list – for fast simple changes.
- Optimised image load-times and scripts for fast page views.
- Submitted XML sitemaps to search engines for fast indexing.
The End Result
Beauty By Bow were very happy with the final results, so much in fact that they also asked us to do some extra work for the salon.
In the end we produced two sets of business cards, we re-designed their brochures / price list and also produced some A5 flyers to help promote the salon.
