WHAT IS LAYAN GARDENS
Layan Gardens is a premier Phuket apartment development comprising of 40 luxury apartments in five buildings on six acres.
Constructed by Dufor Development, an established UK builder based in Thailand Layan Gardens has spacious, well designed apartments with balcony views of rolling green hillsides, azure lakes, the ocean and spectacular sunsets.
The apartments are only minutes away from some of Phuket’s finest local amenities and the stunning Layan Beach.
WHAT WAS REQUIRED
The project was completed in mid 2008 and all apartments were quickly sold out. The previous website was created during development but had not been updated or maintained since.
As a result there were several outdated pieces of information, more than a dozen broken links and a lot of advertising that the site owner had no control over. There were also issues with contact forms and email being re-routed as well as old (incorrect) contact numbers being used.
In short the, the website existed but for a long time had stopped performing its function which was to provide information on the development and to highlight that there were still opportunities for re-sale and rentals are available at this completed and established development.
WHAT WE DID
There was more wrong than right with the original website, not just outdated visually but also below the surface. It wasn’t that website wasn’t built well in its day, it just used old coding techniques and a S.E.O. strategy that Google now penalizes websites for using. As a result we saved anything we could recycle in order to re-build on more solid foundations.
Recycled
- We kept most of the written content which we corrected and updated.
Created New
- Created a responsive website design.
- Photography – New photos individually cropped, colour corrected and optimised.
- Graphics / Icons created and Logo reproduced.
- Careful to retained existing back links. (Google likes this).
- Individual S.E.O. at page level; each page optimised to its own content.
We also resolved their contact form and email problems too.
THE END RESULT
We exceeded the clients expectations, which is always one of our personal goals. But more importantly the end result or the redesign is a website that represents Layan Gardens and does the development justice. Its stunningly attractive just like the property and its easy for visitors to find any information that’s available.
From the clients side they have the freedom to add, change and edit their website at will, without having to pay for a design company to do it for them.
